Hippie shoes

I have tried on about 20 pairs of shoes in the past few days. You see, I am still healing from my "bunionectomy," so I have to be careful what shoes I wear. I've been wearing my big, clunky, white tennis shoes for the past month and I'm sick of it. Since I'll be dressing up more than normal at my conference this week, I at least needed a wearable pair of black shoes. I bought a really cute pair of black ecco sneakers, but when I got them home and tried them on again, they were just too narrow. I need my toe to not be squished at all so that the bone will heal correctly. It is really hard to find a pair of shoes that doesn't require your toes to lean in a little bit. But there is one pair out there. I found them. I spent more than I should have on these eye-sores, but you have to understand - I am desperate to wear shoes other than sneakers. These shoes are ugly. They are not shoes I would have ever bought if I had a choice. They are weird and I don't like them, but they are the only ones that work for me at this point in time. Here they are:

Do you see how they have a weird sole in the front? When I walk towards you, it looks like I'm floating. Supposedly they are "engineered to roll naturally, reducing heel and central metatarsal pressure," but I think I look like a fool. They have all sorts of technical features that are supposed to be really good for you - they better be! Otherwise I'll just look like I've gone granola. And granola does not suit me.

I am sorry that I laughed at your new shoes when you modeled them for me. It is just funny because I know it is not something you would typically wear. We have a strong enough friendship that can endure me being a total ass every once in a while, right?
Just don't wear those bad boys with white socks and capri pants and you will be fine.

Yes, our friendship can endure you laughing at my weird shoes. As long as I get to laugh at your cane. :)

"Rocker outsole also encourages proper posture and normal gait. In English? You ROCK!" Wow, even the website is trying to trick you into thinking these are cool. You shoulda got 'em in silver. That'd be fly. Nope...couldn't type it with a straight face.

You should use Sarah's hula hoop tape and jazz up the heels.
