my opinion

I like the website Etiquette for a Lady. One of the rules posted is:

Yes, he can. And if EXPECTS you to do it, he should.

But otherwise, make the man a sandwich.

This is so true. My husband and I had this conversation the other day. He does expect me to make a sandwich, but the more he expects me to, the more I rebel. I don't like it when anyone expects anything. It just rubs me the wrong way. It's probably the ungrateful, selfish attitude that makes me angry.

A sandwich always tastes better when somebody else makes it.

I like that. Joseph never expects me to, so I love doing it for him. I know wives whose husbands just sit there and demand. It really frustrates me and I want to yell, "He's perfectly capable of putting meat on two pieces of bread! You just had a baby!!!!"

And I am the opposite of the modern idea of feminism so seriously, if I think he can make his own stinkin' sandwich, he can make his own sandwich!

*Steps off soapbox.*
